Roger's Corner
Inspired by the scientific work of Roger Boscovich, we designed a children's zone at Ruđer Bošković Airport for ages 4–10 that transforms complex physics and astronomy into interactive discovery.
We were part of a talented team of architects, product and visual designers, storytellers and artisans who brought the legacy of this Dubrovnik-born physicist and astronomer to life through interactive space and custom-made elements.
Our role focused on translating Boscovich's breakthroughs into a visual language that works for young minds: making atomic theory, celestial mechanics, and optics a bit more understandable and genuinely exciting. We created all graphic elements that bring the space to life, from large-scale spatial graphics, illustrations to detailed visual touchpoints throughout the zone.
We designed custom-made props that demonstrate scientific principles through play. These interactive elements became one of the defining features of the space — Memory game featuring mathematical operations, Tornado prop reflecting the physics of storms, Boscovich's curve entailing his central scientific contribution, Travelling of Light depicting how light moves through space, and the Earth, a tactical journey about meridians and parallels.
The project was realized as part of the SITE programme, within the Interreg Italy - Croatia cross‑border cooperation initiative.
