Chan centre Hartovski vrh

For the international buddhist organisation Chan centre Hartovski vrh we designed a new bilingual webpage that presents various meditation and mindfulness programs for adults and children. Apart from UX and UI we designed the digital newsletter as well as a series of animations inspired by traditional buddhist texts.

CLIENT

PROGRAMMING

The website that serves as the central point of communication in the network of other complementary digital channels of the organisation is multi-layered and complex, content-wise. Because of this, large part of the task was to create a logical and congruous information architecture. Apart from information that are public and accessible to everyone, the website contains a closed members-only section that demands a log in. The design concept for several login and donation forms is based on a definition of modules with integrated payment enabled by the Stripe platform.

The existing visual identity of the organisation served as the starting point of the website graphics design. Together with UX and UI we created several animations inspired by traditional buddhist texts as well as redesigned the newsletter to accustom the new website design. Graphic design of the page reflects the principles od mindfulness that are the focal point of the organisation avoiding using the cliches of Japanese calligraphy.

Even though most of the website visitors use it from the desktop, we provided a simplified and optimised version for small interfaces, such as smartphones and tablets.
